I’m getting my plunge on!

Hey Everyone! I know it’s been quite a while since I’ve posted and that is because even the off-season is crazy busy! Pretty soon, you will see some awesome changes here at Amanda Egan Photography… I’m really excited! Anyway, that is not the reason for this particular post….

I recently accepted the challenge of participating in the 2009 Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics . Not only will I be Getting My Plunge On, but I’ll be raising money for children and adults in Kentucky with intellectual disabilities so that they can have the opportunity to experience the joy of sports training and competition. So, on February 28th, I am going to be jumping into the Ohio River. That’s right… the Ohio River.

Last weekend, I headed up to Ohio State University’s campus in Columbus to shoot Kate & Thomas’ Engagement Session. I was so cold outside! Despite the freezing temperature, I think we got some great shots! Here are my favorites:

From start to finish, Sara & Marco’s wedding day was so relaxing! Such a blast to shoot! Sara was the most laid back bride – she didn’t even have her hair done, which was awesome, by the way. They were so happy to be together and it really shines through in the pictures. I have so many favorites, I have to break them up into two posts!

Vacation in Tokyo!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know that I am going to be out of the office starting tomorrow (Saturday, November 22) through next Sunday (November 30th). Beth (my awesome assistant) and I am going to Tokyo, Japan! I will not be answering any email during this time, so please be patient! I will get back to work as soon as I get home!

I had a great time shooting with Amanda and Nick a couple of weekends ago! I got to shoot in a brand new location, which made for some great shots! Here are my favorites:

Wow… what a crazy year this has been so far! First of all, I want to say thanks to all of you who have left me wonderful comments! Your kind words mean so much to me!

Now, I know that this is technically a ‘photo’ blog & this post contains no photos. However, sometimes a person just needs to vent a little & what better way than on my own public forum here? I am having some bad luck. I was in a car accident a couple of days ago. I was lucky.. no one was hurt! However, I did just pay my car off two days before the accident. How ironic is that? Why does that always happen? You finally pay something off & then it breaks!

On to more important news… It’s time for me to catch up! I just finished a string of 12 weddings in a row. Which left me very little time for editing. Which is why it is taking me a bit longer than originally planned to get your sessions & albums ready. I appreciate everyone’s patience so much! So, I am taking this first weekend off in 12 weeks to catch everything up!…

Brandi & Brittany: your senior sessions are getting ready to be uploaded as I type!

Tara & Tom: I am putting the finishing touches on your wedding now.
